Name

The Foundation is dedicated to Mladen Antonov Kunchev (1929-1985) –a pedagogue, a teacher and a social active person. He was the founder of the first Social Home for children in Pleven region to the Primary School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” and its Headmaster from 1959 to 1962. He was also the director of the Primary Logopedic Boarding School from its establishment in 1962 until 1985. Awarded with the “ Sts. Cyril and Methodius” order I and II degree

The construction of the new Library/Cultural club in Totleben (Chitalishte “Probuda”-established in 1902) is done in 1958 under his chairmanship. He was the organizer of multitude of school and community center activities as a school string orchestra to the local school "St.Cyril and Methodius",school choir,courses in accordion, a rich library to the community center "Probuda" and others.
